Computer GraphicsStudents will be introduced to graphic design in the form of both HTML coding and the application of Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator. They will also get an opportunity to produce work using vinyl cutting and laser engraving/cutting technology.

OUR STEM LAB HAS A NEW LOCATION
Check out the new Design & Fabrication Lab that is located by the shop. This will provide us more space and opportunity to continue our growth in all STEM areas for our students. We are excited to get the new school year underway!
Jr. High Devil Bots compete in FIRST Tech Challenge
Congratulations to the Jr. High Green Devil Bots as they competed in their first ever competition this weekend at Vassar. The JH students took part in the FIRST Tech Challenge game "Rover Ruckus" finishing in 3rd place.
Team Technolotree competes at SVSU Academic games
Students competed in the Academic Games at SVSU on Wednesday 3/20 including a group technology group. Teams were tasked with building a paper tower to support a 12lb. bowling ball.
BCHS students visit Kettering University
A group of students interested in STEM careers took a visit to Kettering University on Friday November 16th to tour the campus, learn about Kettering's unique co-op program, and visit the FIRST Robotics Learning Center.
STEM Computer Lab Gets UPDATED!
The BC STEM Computer Lab received an update with new student computers as well as a new arrangement. Thank you to Mr. Hickman and his student assistants on getting the new stations up and running. The updates will allow us to run the most up-to-date CAD software as well as other applications to improve student achievement in STEM areas.
STEM Students participate in SVSU Academic Games for Technology
6 students participated in the "Technology" area of the Saginaw Valley State University Academic Games on Tuesday March 13th. The students were tasked with designing and building a free-standing tower using only the given materials and multiple constraints. THE BC Team had a lot of fun and competed well against many other teams from the thumb area. In the end, the team finished in 4th Place with a tower over 18' tall. The group consisted of mostly 9th grade students.
FAB LAB GETS NEW ADDITIONS
The BCHS STEM Lab has added 2 new XYZ DaVinci 3D Printers to our fabrication area. Students are currently using the 3D printers to create prototypes of their Truss Designs. See the "Photo Gallary" for some examples.
